BlazBlue pre-orders

Posted by Ryan On April - 13 - 2009

blazblue_logoNCSX and Play-Asia are now taking pre-orders for the import fighter BlazBlue. While this game isn’t going to be stealing any thunder from SF4 of KoF12, it will be good to get some Guilty Gear style action in HD. Hori is also releasing some themed joysticks for BlazBlue. Of course the 360 users will be getting the inferior joystick compared to the PS3. Not that it matters though, if you don’t have a NTSC/J 360 you’ll have to play it on PS3 anyway.

Play-Asia:

BlazBlue PS3 $68.90 | Hori wireless BlazBlue Fighting stick PS3 $119.99

BlazBlue 360 $68.90 | Hori wired BlazBlue Fighting stick 360 $99.99

NCSX:

BlazBlue PS3 $65.90 | Hori wireless BlazBlue Fighting stick PS3 $139.99

BlazBlue 360 $65.90 | Hori wired BlazBlue Fighting stick 360 $99.99

Ok.. So maybe I need to work on coordination.

So last night I had a couple friends over to play some Street Fighter 4. Playing with the usual guys is always good fun as it’s more of  a chess game than a spam fest.

Except last night..

One of the guys, Chris, brought over his PS3 to use as he had some of the alternate costume packs. Everything was going smoothly until I decided to walk between the PS3/TV and joysticks…I trip over the joystick cables and yank the PS3 off the entertainment center. It comes crashing 3 feet down on to an area rug with solid concrete underneath. Pieces fly off everywhere, everyone almost dies from heart attacks, but the PS3 keeps on playing. I didn’t know what was more shocking.. The fact that the PS3 fell to the ground, or, that it was still working.

Truthfully the system is mechanically sound, it’s just cosmetically damaged. I can’t leave a friend hanging like

that so I’m off to replace the unit today. Thank god it wasn’t the impossible to replace backwards compatible 60gb.

PnT Street Fighter 4 Tournament Results

Posted by Ryan On March - 1 - 2009

My apologies. There is no video of the tournament right now. The camera that I used to record the event created semi-corrupt .h264 files that are not tracking properly and can’t be converted to anything usable at the moment. The camera also died after the 6th round 1 match, charged through rounds 2 and 3 and caught the final match. I’ll try and not noob it up next time.

We had 14 players for this tournament. Double the previous number.

PnT Street Fighter 4 (PS3) Tournament Wed. 2/25

Posted by Ryan On February - 22 - 2009

street_fighter_4_danThis will be the last game in PnT’s series of Street Fighter tournaments.

Should be interesting to see what happens with all players having equal time with the game.

Tournament starts at 7pm. $5 buy in. System is Playstation 3. Winner takes home a Madcatz SF4 gamepad of their choice. As far as we’ve heard, there is no restriction on charecters used, except maybe Seth. Bring your own gamepad or joystick if you wish.

We will also be recording the event and should have a video of the gameplay to post up with the results.
