This will be the last game in PnT’s series of Street Fighter tournaments.
Should be interesting to see what happens with all players having equal time with the game.
Tournament starts at 7pm. $5 buy in. System is Playstation 3. Winner takes home a Madcatz SF4 gamepad of their choice. As far as we’ve heard, there is no restriction on charecters used, except maybe Seth. Bring your own gamepad or joystick if you wish.
We will also be recording the event and should have a video of the gameplay to post up with the results.
It seems like the Diamond Jim’s veterans are coming out of the wood work lately.
I am slightly dissapointed in the conduct of some players though. Win or lose, it’s a good learning experience.
If you think you are “wasting your F’n time” — Why even show up? You’re just not going to get this kind of experience playing the CPU, or even online.
Here are the results:
Match 1: Ryan T. vs Chris P. | Winner: Chris P.
Match 2: AJ H. vs Thomas N. | Winner: AJ H.
Match 3: Jimmy C. vs Tre C. | Winner: Jimmy C.
Match 4: Chris P. vs AJ H. | Winner: Chris P.
Match 5: Tracy L.* vs Jimmy C. | Winner: Jimmy C.
Match 6: Chris P. vs Jimmy C. | Winner: Jimmy C.

Finally, after much delay, we are live!
Starting things off, we would like to thank Tim, Joe, Garret, and everyone else at Play N Trade, who are on board to help us promote and grow an awesome gaming community.
Our goal is to make it easier for you to network with other gamers in the Columbus area, by keeping everyone informed of meet-ups, events, and tournaments. We’ll also cover other news relevant to gaming in our area, as well as deals, the occasional how-to rant, and obscurity.
We can’t do it by our self, and will rely on everyone to let us know what’s going on. Don’t hesitate to email us at the address under the logo above if you have any news/info/event plans/comments.
About the layout– You’ll currently see a Street Fighter-ish theme. This is not to say that we are all about fighting games. The theme will change at different times, usually in relation to whatever the closest big game is to launching. We also have some other features for the site planned that aren’t ready just yet.
There are a couple of minor bugs with the site we currently know about.
These issues will be fixed soon. Please let us know if you find anything else.
Lastly, because we are pairing with businesses such as PnT, I must ask that all users keep things civil.
That’s it. Welcome to the site.
Well, another week and I’ve waited to post the tournament announcment untill the day of.
Hey, we haven’t exactly gone public yet though. =)
Todays tourney will be SF3:3S at 7pm and is $5 to play.
Recently we reported that the winner takes the buy in pot, but, we were wrong.
These Street Fighter tournaments, starting with SF2T on 2/4/09, are simply for a poster and bragging rights.
We’ve been told that the normal for money rules will resume after next week’s SF4 tournament.
If you would like to play, please try and be at PnT by 6:45 to sign up.
Let’s hope you did it at a large retail chain.
The local Play N Trade says that the original plan from Mad Catz was to create 9000 joysticks for the first shipment. That got cut down to 1900. This means that smaller retailers (like Play N Trade) won’t get any of them until the second shipment.
That includes preorders.
Expect the prices on ebay to be stupid. If you don’t have to have the joystick immediately, preorder a joystick from the second shipment. It’ll most likely save you some money.
After about 30 minutes of techincal difficulty the tournament was finally under way.
Who would have thought that downloadable titles on the 360, such as SSF2THDR,
would result in full games reverting into locked demos when there is no internet connection?
A couple of epic matches took place, especially between Tracy L. and Chris P.
And the results are:
Match 1: Sean G. vs AJ H. | Winner: Sean G.
Match 2: Ryan T. vs Jason C. | Winner: Ryan T.
Match 3: Chris P. vs Ian K. | Winner: Chris P.
Match 4: Sean G. vs Ryan T. | Winner: Sean G.
Match 5: Chris P. vs Tracy L.* | Winner: Chris P.
Match 6: Chris P. vs Sean G. | Winner: Chris P.

Play N Trade will be hosting a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix (Xbox 360) tournament tonight at 7pm.
Entry is $5. If you would like to participate you should be there no later than 6:45 to register.
I’ll be there to play if I can get my hands on a 360 joystick in time. If not I’ll just be spectating.
